TAAP National Team Qualification and Rules for 2026

TAAP Team Selection Procedure:

 

• Athletes must hold valid proof of residency (e.g., work permit, education visa) and must have resided in Thailand for at least six months before representing TAAP, in line with IPF Bylaws 14.9.

• Athletes must hold current TAAP membership.

• To qualify, athletes must meet the minimum Tier 2 qualifying standards.

• International competition totals may be used to qualify for the TAAP team.

• There is no requirement to compete in the TAAP Championship, but if an athlete achieves a total equal to or greater than a current TAAP team member, they will take their slot.

• Should a team member be unable to compete, the nomination will be passed to the next ranked lifter.

• All TAAP National team members must volunteer for at least one competition annually in roles such as: Referee, Spotter/Loader, Scoring Team or Media Team.

• The committee reserves the right to dismiss any team member for poor conduct.

TAAP National Team Qualification Routes

Route 1: Qualifiers or TAAP Invitational Championship

• Must meet the 2025 qualifying totals (Tier 2 - Asia Pacific, Tier 1 - Worlds). This route includes 2025 Qualifier 1, 2, and 3 or the 2026 TAAP Invitational Championship. The 2025 Invitational Championship is NOT included.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
